Leo XIV’s setting of the consistory is “not normative”, Cardinal Gerhard Müller told TheCatholicHerald.com (January 11): “This is a method of the synods, and I think it’s helping the Pope not as Bishop of Rome but as a diocesan bishop.” Cardinal Müller sought to dispel what he described as a false dichotomy in the Church’s internal debates. “The Church of Benedict XVI doesn’t exist anymore.” Picture: vatican media, #newsXaqahjlxet
Saint Matthew 7:17.20 "Every good tree produces good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit. Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them."
@Boanerges Boanerges You are absolutely correct! —We can complain til the cows come home but nothing will change for the better. It is a near certainty that things will only get worse. —Jesus Christ created only one Church (now known as the Roman Catholic Church). Moreover, He established only one set of “truths” and commanded the appointed leaders of His Church to teach those “truths,” exclusively, to “all nations.” Those “truths” are the teachings, practices and beliefs of the Catholic religion. —The Second Vatican Council created a counterfeit religion (which faithful Catholics call the “Conciliar” religion). All post-Vatican II popes, bishops and priests follow and promote some or all of the many false teachings contained in the Conciliar religion. —Each and every one of those men of the Conciliar religion who have been responsible for leading unwitting Catholics away from the authentic teachings of the Catholic religion (many to perdition) will one day answer to Jesus Christ …
January 13th - Saint of the Day: Saint Hilary of Poitiers, Bishop & Doctor of the Church When the world tried to make Jesus “just a good teacher,” one bishop said: absolutely not. Meet Saint Hilary of Poitiers, the fourth-century heavyweight who fought for the truth that Jesus is fully God. Not “kind of divine.” Not “a lesser being.” True God from true God. Hilary was not even raised Christian, but his search for truth led straight to Scripture and the font of Baptism. Then he got chosen as Bishop of Poitiers and stepped into chaos: the Arian crisis, political pressure, compromised leaders, and a culture that wanted a softer Gospel. Sound familiar? He refused to bend. He got exiled. And instead of going silent, he wrote one of the Church’s greatest defenses of the Holy Trinity in On the Trinity. One of his most striking lines is: “God knows not how to be anything other than love.” And his prayer hits hard for anyone trying to stay faithful under …بیشتر
Hl. بیشتر
French Euthanasia Bill Would Force Catholic Institutions to Perform Euthanasia or Close: The European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ), an NGO based in Strasbourg, warns that a proposed French euthanasia law could force Catholic hospitals and nursing homes to perform euthanasia. Refusal could result in the loss of public funding, fines, and even prison sentences for directors. The ECLJ argues that this would constitute a serious violation of freedom of conscience and religion. No other country that has legalized euthanasia imposes such criminal obligations on private institutions.
Euthanasie en France : les établissements catholiques gravement menacés
The French, whether in France, or in Canada, it appears, have a real obsession with euthanasia (by the by, using the many of the 'humane' justifications the inventor of the guillotine used for his invention!). How far the once faithful Daughter of the Church has plummeted.
JANUARY 13 2026 THE GOSPEL breski1 Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 1,21b-28. Jesus came to Capernaum with his followers, and on the sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught. The people were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes. In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit; he cried out, "What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!" Jesus rebuked him and said, "Quiet! Come out of him!" The unclean spirit convulsed him and with a loud cry came out of him. All were amazed and asked one another, "What is this? A new teaching with authority. He commands even the unclean spirits and they obey him." His fame spread everywhere throughout the whole region of Galilee.
Cardinal Robert Sarah delivered a series of talks and homilies on liturgy and sacred music in the U.S. from November 21 to 23, as reported by NCRegister.com on January 3. His main points: - For decades, the Church’s liturgy has "too often been instrumentalized" and has become increasingly politicized. - Church hierarchy has "persecuted and excluded" those who have rightly called attention to liturgical abuses. - "The liturgy is not something that you or I can make up or change, even if we think we are experts—or even if we are bishops. We must be humble before the sacred liturgy, as it has been handed down to us through the Church’s tradition." - It is "even scandalous at times" to sing or play music in churches that is neither liturgical nor sacred. - Quoting Benedict XVI: "As far as the liturgy is concerned, we cannot say that one song is as good as another." - Different kinds of music belong in different places. Liturgical music is set apart exclusively for the worship of God. - …بیشتر
Catholic Bible Study, 1 Samuel 1: Book of 1 Samuel, Hannah's Humble Prayer, Fr. Tim Peters 1st book of Samuel 1,9-20. Hannah rose after a meal at Shiloh, and presented herself before the LORD; at the time, Eli the priest was sitting on a chair near the doorpost of the LORD's temple. In her bitterness she prayed to the LORD, weeping copiously, and she made a vow, promising: "O LORD of hosts, if you look with pity on the misery of your handmaid, if you remember me and do not forget me, if you give your handmaid a male child, I will give him to the LORD for as long as he lives; neither wine nor liquor shall he drink, and no razor shall ever touch his head." As she remained long at prayer before the LORD, Eli watched her mouth, for Hannah was praying silently; though her lips were moving, her voice could not be heard. Eli, thinking her drunk, said to her, "How long will you make a drunken show of yourself? Sober up from your wine!" "It isn't that, my lord," Hannah answered. "I am an unhappy …بیشتر

The Light the Darkness Cannot Overcome The darkness covering the earth and the mist obscuring people’s vision are contrasted with the grace given to the Magi, allowing them to seek and worship the newborn King. This grace, a gift from God, enables individuals to recognize and desire truth, despite the prevalent darkness and rejection of goodness and righteousness in the world. The darkness of the world is increasing, but the light of God will always prevail. We must choose to be the light, even in the face of persecution, by relying on God’s grace and allowing His light to shine through us. This means living our faith with charity, mercy, and compassion, remembering that we were once in darkness ourselves. Fr. Altier’s Daily Homilies Fr. St. John the Baptist Preaching to the Church in the 21st Century... A Voice Crying in the Wilderness: On Carnal Desire and the Marriage Bed “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” (Matthew 3:2) A voice cries in the wilderness! Hear, O men and women of Israel, for the wrath of God is revealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness (Romans 1:18). You have turned from the Creator, darkened your minds, and exchanged the truth of God for a lie (Romans 1:25). Creation itself proclaims the power and wisdom of God, yet you refuse to honor Him. --- Carnal Desire Is An Evil of the Fall Hear and tremble: the lust of the flesh — carnal desire — is not a blessing, not a gift, not a natural good. It is a punishment, a wound, a consequence of Original Sin. Saint Augustine declares: > “Concupiscence is an evil, a disease of the soul, inherited from our first parents; it is the rebellion of the flesh against reason, stirring lust where God wills obedience.” — On the Good of Marriage, §11 …بیشتر
