On July 2, the Northern Ireland Policing Board published guidance on how Safe Access Zone legislation applies to hospital ministry. The zones extend up to 100 metres (extendable to 250 metres) around premises that kill unborn children. Three groups are protected: mothers attending for abortion, anyone accompanying them, and staff. The flagged activities are: - prayer with patients during end-of-life care - scripture reading requested by patients or families - carrying Bibles or religious materials through public areas of hospitals - consensual pastoral ministry within wards or hospital grounds - visible religious practice within areas covered by Safe Access Zones These religious actions could constitute an offence within a designated zone. It is enough if a "reasonable person" would consider them capable of influencing, or "causing distress" to, a mother seeking an abortion - even if there is no intent to do so. The guidance states there is no exemption for clergy or religious activity …Dabalata
The newly appointed Bishop Christian Würtz of Eichstätt, Germany, expects further debate over priestly celibacy, he told Br.de on July 12. On Tuesday, Pope Leo XIV appointed him from auxiliary bishop of Freiburg to the diocesan bishop of Eichstätt. During Germany's Synodal Way in 2022, he voted in favour of "blessings" for homosexual concubines and the "ordination" of women-clergy. When asked about his predecessor, Msgr. Gregor Maria Hanke, who voted against those Synodal Way documents, Bishop Würtz said: "I think it goes too far to conclude from that that there are fundamental differences between him and me." He described the different beliefs as "factional disputes." Instead, he said, the focus should be on "what unites us": "That is also an important aspect of synodality - listening to one another, walking together, and learning from one another." When it came to the topic of priestly celibacy, Bishop Würtz said: "This will certainly be a question that continues to occupy us in the …Dabalata
Documentary on the Brutal Reality of Spain's most Violent War │ The Spanish Civil War │ EuniPark. The Spanish Civil War (Spanish: Guerra Civil Española),[nb 2] widely known in Spain simply as The Civil War (Spanish: Guerra Civil) or The War (Spanish: La Guerra), took place from 1936 to 1939. The Republicans, who were loyal to the democratic, left-leaning and relatively urban Second Spanish Republic, in an alliance of convenience with the Anarchists, fought against the Nationalists, a Falangist, Carlist, and largely aristocratic conservative group led by General Francisco Franco. Although the war is often portrayed as a struggle between democracy and fascism, some historians believe it should more accurately be described as a struggle between leftist revolution and rightist counter-revolution.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_Civil_War Ultimately, the Nationalists won, and Franco then ruled Spain for the next 36 years, from April 1939 until his death in November 1975.

The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X is formally challenging the Vatican decree issued on 2 July by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith that excommunicated its six bishops. On 11 July, it filed the required preliminary appeal under canon law. According to the Society, this filing temporarily suspends the enforcement of the decree while the appeal process is underway. Communiqué of 13 July The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X announces that, in response to the decree issued on 2 July 2026 by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, it submitted on 11 July a preliminary recourse to the same Dicastery, in accordance with canons 1734 and following of the Code of Canon Law. This request, which constitutes the mandatory preliminary step before the possible introduction of a hierarchical recourse, has the effect of suspending the execution of the decree, in accordance with canon 1353 of the Code of Canon Law. By this recourse, the Society intends to exercise the right which …Dabalata
The outcome of the purported excommunication of the six bishops today will be far different from the outcome of the 1988 excommunications. In 1988, there was no visible reason for Catholics to doubt Pope John Paul II’s sincerity as a faithful Catholic. In the minds of most of the laity at the time, he at least appeared to be faithfully following the authentic teachings of the Church, at the same time. The SSPX was completely unknown to the world and was easily labeled as a breakaway religion. Yet, they survived and grew unimaginably. That is not the case today, as many Novus Ordo Catholics, whether they follow them or not, recognize that the SSPX strictly adheres to the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church, and that it is the leaders in Rome who are following the teachings of Vatican II. I would be greatly surprised not to learn that Rome is looking (praying?) for a lifeline at this time.
‘I am disenchanted with the hierarchy of the Church of England.’ Chaplain Bernard Randall says it has been a seven-year battle to clear his name after he was unfairly dismissed for delivering a sermon on identity politics and transgenderism.
A decline in religious vocations has prompted the Jesuits in the United States and Canada to restructure the way they train future members of the pro-homosexual order. The Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States has announced that it will reduce the number of its novitiates from five to two by 2028. This decision was communicated in a letter dated 9 July and signed by the superiors of the conference's five provinces. Under the new arrangement, one novitiate will be located in Detroit, Michigan, serving the USA Midwest, USA East and Canada provinces, while the second will remain in Culver City, California, serving the USA West and USA Central and Southern provinces. Each facility is expected to accommodate up to 30 novices. "Running five novitiates takes an awful lot of high-quality Jesuit personnel," Fr. Joseph Daoust, SJ, superior of the Detroit Jesuit community, told DetroitCatholic.com on July 10. "Each novitiate requires three to four experienced Jesuits dedicated to …Dabalata
French dioceses face a worsening vocation crisis, despite claims of improvement in seminary recruitment, Laurent Dastros writes on July 9 on Substack.com. Dastros notes that, as of 2026, three French dioceses - Aire-et-Dax, Le Puy-en-Velay, and Le Havre - have gone between 12 and 14 years without a diocesan priestly ordination. Carcassonne et Narbonne ended a 19-year gap in 2025 with the ordination of a 51-year-old candidate. Annecy and Rodez could join this list next year if they continue without new ordinations. Longer-Term Picture Dastros calculates that between 2011 and 2026, only three dioceses recorded a single diocesan priestly ordination: Carcassonne et Narbonne, Rodez et Vabres, and Pamiers, Couserans et Mirepoix. Based on the assumption that priests remain in active ministry for approximately 50 years, he estimates that, if current trends continue, each of these dioceses could eventually have only about three native diocesan priests. He further identifies seven dioceses that …Dabalata
“When a member of parliament identifies as Catholic while supporting legislation that authorizes the taking of life, he objectively places himself in opposition not only to the Church's constant teaching but also to a fundamental principle of human reason,” Bishop Marc Aillet of Bayonne told France-Catholique.fr on July 7. Members of the French National Assembly are expected to vote on the euthanasia bill on July 15. Bishop Aillet said euthanasia is “an intrinsically evil act, regardless of the circumstances” and that Catholics engaged in public life cannot ignore this teaching, “If they are aware of this inconsistency, they will no longer be able to receive Holy Communion.” Responding to the presentation of euthanasia as an “act of humanity,” Bishop Aillet said that a truly fraternal society does not respond to suffering by eliminating the person who suffers. He added that this message must be proclaimed despite “the dominant discourse, which seriously clouds consciences,” and “the …Dabalata
Anybody know why Canada's Prime Minister, Mark Carney. is still allowed to turn up at Mass and be given Communion even though he is a long, continuing, unrepentant advocate of both the country's rapidly expanding murder regimes (aka assisted suicide and abortion)? Do the bishops and archbishops and Vatican ambassador up there not follow the news?
Thank you, your Excellency, but it is almost too little too late. Most of the clergy were silent on so many issues like abortion, birth control, euthanasia and sodomy so now it will only be an intervention from God to stop this immoral filth.

Madrid's homosexual activist group Crismhom published recently photos on social media from its attendance at Leo XIV's meeting with "civil society" during his visit to Spain. On June 7, the group became the first homosexual organization officially invited to a papal event in Spain. The invitation came from pro-homosexual Cardinal José Cobo of Madrid. Speaking to Artículo14.es, Crismhom president Ramón Legaspi Yrimia said the invitation showed "that the diverse Church exists and has a voice" and that "we, as LGBTI people, are part of the Church, not something foreign to it." Later that day, Crismhom members attended the Pope's public Eucharist in Madrid, where they called for recognition of Catholic homosexual activists "as first-class Christians" and demanded access to the sacrament of marriage (!) "without distinction." #newsGpodwlxkei
Matthew 7:16-20 New Catholic Bible 16 By their fruits you will know them. Does one pick grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but a rotten tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruits you will know them.
– Folha de S. Paulo, November 26, 1982 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira In these confusing times, facts often influence us less by what they are than by how they appear. And they appear to be what propaganda presents them as. Now, the media — TV, radio, and the press, in short, the Republic’s Fourth Branch — is entirely focused on reporting what happened on November 15. And, at least for now, it seems to be saving commentary for later. Since I have nothing to add to these extensive news reports, I don’t want to jump ahead with my commentary. As I mentioned above, I will comment more on the commentary than on the facts themselves. Therefore, while waiting for the right moment, I set aside the big topic of the elections today. What, then, should I discuss? I close my eyes to reflect. Since I just took a long ride through the streets, it’s not surprising that a multitude of human figures come to mind. Clearly, the differences among them are vast, as all ethnicities, even the rarest, are …Dabalata
Frank Wright July 13, 2026 How to recover from the lies of the Revolution Joseph De Maistre (2026, Colourised) To restore our civilisation we must recognise that for a century the minds of our people have been captured and directed by a constantly refined political technique designed to do just that. If we are to do better than the virtues of vice and the political economy of national suicide, we must learn to think outside the pseudo reality framed by the mass manufacture of meaning. This is the reason I am writing today about Joseph de Maistre, whose transformation from revolutionary believer to the most devastating critic of the religion of Man provides an outstanding example to us all of how to detransition from the political religion of evil. This should take you eight minutes to read. "Bishop" Lefebvre understood that his connection with Liénart would soon become public, prompting him to make the following statement at a conference in Montreal, Canada, in May 1976, feigning surprise at learning of his mentor's membership: "This news has filled me with bitterness". What do you think of that? Archbishop Lenga just said: SSPX excommunications mean nothing before God. He called the real schismatics "cardinals and bishops inside the Vatican" – and said Pope Leo no longer represents the Church that leads souls to salvation.
