25 New Million-Dollar Donors: On 2 May, Leo XIV held his first audience with The Papal Foundation, an American Catholic philanthropy group. Since his election, the foundation claims to have added 25 new steward families, each of which has contributed at least $1 million. In the previous two years combined, there were only 13 new donors. Over its 38-year history, the Foundation has donated more than $270 million to papal charitable projects.

I wonder what percentage that $1 million is of their overall wealth. Bet it's it's nowhere near that of the widow's pence.

There is a small sanctuary in the midst of the vast turmoil of London, to which many people look with reverence: the former Charterhouse of the Salutation of the Mother of God. The monastery perished in 1538, after enduring for three years the cruelest hostility of Henry VIII. Within its cloisters and cells lived those English Carthusians who would later be recognized as martyrs. And although their martyrdom took place elsewhere, it was here that they prepared themselves to give their lives for what they believed to be just. This book explores the architectural evolution of the monastery through pictures, descriptions, and reliable sources, as a way to understand these men who, for conscience’s sake, stood so stoutly and died so nobly.

In Malachi 2:2, God says to the disobedient priests: “I will curse your blessings.”

Malachi 2:10–16, where infidelity in marriage and the breaking of the covenant with God are denounced.

Rest in Peace, Bishop René Gracida (June 9, 1923 – May 1, 2026)!

From Diocese of Corpus Christi
At the age of 102, Bishop René Henry Gracida passed away on the morning of May 1, 2026. Bishop Mario Avilés wrote, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bishop Emeritus René Henry Gracida. He served as the fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Corpus Christi from 1983 until 1997. We are deeply grateful for his faithful service as our shepherd for 14 years.” Previously, he was appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee in Florida (1975–1983) and as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Miami in Florida (1971–1975).
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 9, 1923, Gracida was the second child of Enrique J. Gracida Carrizosa, a Mexican architect and engineer, and Mathilde Derbes, a fifth-generation French American Cajun. His great uncle was a vicar general of a diocese in Mexico. As a teenager, Gracida was fascinated by the Jesuit martyrs portrayed in James Fenimore Cooper’s novel The Last of the Mohicans.

Thank you SSPX for telling the truth regarding Russia!

Russia has one of the highest rates of abortion in the world and its birth rate—1.4 children per woman—is well below the replacement rate of 2.1. Following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the Russian Orthodox Church was seen acting as an apologist for military aggression, going so far as to frame this violation of moral and international law as a “holy war.” Moreover, the Russian Orthodox Church maintains a position of hostility toward the UGCC, going so far as to assert that it should be abolished and its members folded into Russian Orthodoxy. With respect to relations with Rome, the Russian Orthodox Church has and continues to take an instrumental approach, drawing close to Vatican officials when it is politically expedient while repudiating any idea of reunion as nothing less than a false compromise with heretics.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, this SSPX article makes the claim that the evils of the Russian Orthodox Church are due to its schism(independence) from Eastern Patriarchal Authority! 🤣🤡

Abortion has dropped a great deal but only because the population figures are so bad . The government reversal on abortion is not for moral reasons. Russia is still a communist country and the orthodox are merely an arm of the party. The BVM loves Russia and the country was founded on her birthday. I am Russian through my mother whose family land was confiscated by Stalin. After being taken by the Germans as slave labor and leaving Russia she was under death penalty if she had returned. I love Russia but although things are different now they are not really better. In the end Russia will be converted , pray your rosary.

Saint Joseph used as a weapon by Archbishop Bugnini - Pax Orbis

Adding Saint Joseph to the canon of the Mass was the thin edge of the wedge of liturgical change. Once that was accepted, changing the Mass became normalised.
by
Silvester Donald McLean
We have just celebrated the Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker on May 1, instituted by …. Msgr Bugnini!
This was brought home to me when I picked up my mother’s Daily Missal, which was presented to her as a wedding present on 31 August 1935. It is almost unusable today, even for the last acceptable version of the Mass (1962) because the Bugnini changes had altered the Mass so much.
I want to concentrate on the first change that took place circa 1954, and was the first to use Saint Joseph as a weapon. It was a change to the calendar only and therefor fairly easily sold. For comparison I will use the
Roman Catholic Daily Missal from the Angelus Press, probably the most common Daily Missal in use today for the Mass of all Times. The Angelus Missal is an edited edition of my mother’s Missal of 1935 compiled …

These masonic prelates knew exactly what they were doing in their attempt to destroy the Church by destroying the Mass. They have been largely successful but God always will leave at least a remnant that is faithful. One day, God will bring about a complete restoration of His Church. Let us thank God if we are part of the faithful few.

Outside of Leo’s consistories – in January and upcoming in June – the October meeting will be the first such between a pope and only prelates for many years. The Synod on Synodality’s setup saw the participation of lay people as voting members, and at the time looked likely to be the format used in the future under Pope Francis.

‘Admirable Life Of Patriarch Saint Joseph’ by Venerable Mary of Agreda; Chapter V; ‘ST. JOSEPH ASKS PARDON OF THE HOLY MARY…’; part I; pages 96-100

[Venerable Mary of Agreda – XVII Century AD; Agreda, Spain; Mystic; Writer; ‘Blue Nun’]
Chapter V ~ ST. JOSEPH ASKS PARDON OF THE HOLY MARY HIS SPOUSE— HE RESOLVES TO SERVE HER IN ALL THINGS WITH PROFOUND RESPECT
ST. JOSEPH, after the discovery of his error, waited until our blessed Lady should come forth from her retreat.
As soon as he thought it was time, he opened the door of the little chamber occupied by the mother of the heavenly King, and, throwing himself at her feet, he exclaimed, with humility and profound veneration, ‘ My spouse, Mother of the Eternal Word, behold your servant prostrate before you. By the same Lord whom you bear in your most chaste bosom, I pray you to pardon my presumption. Sure I am that none of my thoughts can be hidden from your wisdom, nor from the divine light which you have received. Great was my blindness to think of deserting you; but you know that I did it in ignorance, because neither the secret of the great King had been revealed to me, nor the …Bontsi

"St. Joseph was filled with admiration and Joy inconceivable at this view of his holy spouse for he had never yet seen her surrounded with such glory and excellence. She appeared to him quite transparent, and, at the same time, he discovered the integrity and virginal purity of our queen and the mystery of her dignity. He saw, also, and recognized in the chaste bosom of Mary the holy humanity of the Infant God and the union of the two natures in the person of the Word. He adored the Infant God with profound humility, acknowledged his true Redeemer, and offered himself to His service with fervent acts of divine love."

King of kings.

Normand Thomas

Homily Sunday, May 3, 2026

Acts 6:1-7
"The apostles chose seven men filled with the Spirit."
The more people there are to proclaim the joy of being children of God, the more joy will spread to every heart.
1 Peter 2:4-9
"You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood."
This kingship is the kingship of God. Jesus Christ is the King, and his Kingdom is the Love of God. Let us discover the joy of the child within us and welcome God's Love into the Kingdom.
John 14:1-12
Thomas said to Jesus, "Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?"
Eternal life is found in the Heart of Christ, in the Heart of God. God's Love is eternal life, and his Love is present right now. Let us fully embrace God's love.

They'll Never Stop Me:' UK Pastor Reveals All on Dramatic Arrest
In a shocking display of heavy-handed policing captured on viral video, officers in Watford, England, double-handcuffed and arrested 66-year-old Pastor Steve Maile—a grandfather, veteran street preacher, and senior pastor of Oasis City Church—while he boldly proclaimed the Gospel in a public square. Accused of "hate speech" after criticizing aspects of Islam and urging listeners to turn to Jesus, Pastor Maile has been branded an "Islamophobe" by critics. Yet he stands firm in his message of love: "The Bible says you must be born again. And God affords this grace through Jesus Christ for all humanity.
This is what I preach. This is not hate. This is love. This is compassion—because it's having compassion on the Muslims." After spending a grueling 12 hours in custody—enduring tight double cuffs that left him needing medical attention—Pastor Maile is now out on bail.
